Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.</p></div><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>Anthropic is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to lead our legal work on AI regulation in the United States and to support our global AI regulatory posture.</p> <p>In this role, you will be an in-house regulatory lawyer for Anthropic's US AI regulation and a key contributor to our global frontier AI compliance strategy. You will provide regulatory-readiness counseling as new laws are developed, day-to-day advice once they are in force, and legal support for Anthropic's non-contentious engagement with US regulators and standards bodies. While the role is US-focused, AI regulation is inherently global: you will help ensure a consistent worldwide compliance posture, coordinate closely with colleagues leading our EU and international workstreams, and contribute to EU AI Act and other international work where it overlaps with your areas.
